Take A Bite
TAKE A BITE World Premiere, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, 2007
An older woman and a younger man wake up a locked room. His LSD dream? Her boyfriend's kinky trick? They're both wrong, only one of them will leave the room ... and only if they talk. A play for anyone who's ever hated themselves.
The woman is Vera - early thirties, lovely and smart ... but convinced she is not. And why not? Everyone, absolutely everyone, has told her so. She has fallen asleep (or passed out?) and awoken to find herself without escape, but with... Dion.
And then I saw up in the sky above us this giant penguin flapping about. And I started laughing because penguins can't fly!
If you were woman locked up in an unfamiliar room with this guy, how would you feel?
Right. So. Until the police or whoever it is let us out, I hope you'll understand if I'm a little... uncomfortable being locked in a strange room with a str- with a young man I don't know.
If you were a guy, locked up with a really hot lady who had no idea she was, what would you do?
Written by Heather Morrow and directed by Lorna Dalgarno, Take a Bite will have its first production this summer in Edinburgh, at the largest, most renowned theatre festival in the world!
